Susan Harper is a business psychologist who specializes in human resources program development, leadership development and cultural assessments. Since 1995 she has provided leadership consulting, training solutions and executive coaching to a wide range of organizations including Fortune 100, mid-cap, government and healthcare. Most recently she has worked with a 100,000+ employee company developing their succession planning process. She led the development of e-learning an instructor-led materials to train leaders on identifying high potential leadership candidates as well as how to utilize SuccessFactors, an online tool to support the process.
Prior to working in management consulting, Susan has held positions as a strategic planning consultant with Coopers & Lybrand, Director of Strategic Planning for a Chicago hospital, Organization Effectiveness Consultant with Amoco Corporation, Director of Change Management for CNA Insurance and Director of the Development Center at Savannah's Memorial University Medical Center. Susan understands the unique challenges of leading organizations and teams and brings this perspective to her consulting and training programs. She also believes that learning should translate to action, therefore, she uses real-time examples from the clients own experiences and works to help training participants understand how to apply concepts and techniques. All of her work is customized to the needs of the client.
Susan holds a Masters in Public Health from Tulane University and a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from the University of Chicago. She has been an adjunct faculty member of Loyola University School of Business, Lake Forest College School of Business and an Associate Professor at Armstrong Atlantic State University teaching organizational behavior and leadership.
