Frank Lynch, Ph.D.

Frank Lynch is an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist who helps organizations achieve exceptional results by developing engaging leaders and dynamic, high-performing teams. With more than three decades of experience working with global Fortune 500 companies, Frank brings a broad perspective shaped by roles as both an HR leader and consultant. He understands the importance of aligning every consulting engagement with an organization’s strategic objectives and is known for designing targeted, effective programs that build both individual skills and organizational capability.

Frank specializes in leadership development, teambuilding, executive coaching, and employee engagement initiatives. At United Airlines, he led the design team and facilitated an experiential management development program that trained more than 10,000 leaders over 4 years. The program was part of a broader effort to improve customer service, operational efficiency and profitability, helping the company shift from financial losses to more than $1B in profit during that time.

Frank left United Airlines to open his own consulting firm, delivering coaching and training services to large organizations. He provided 360 feedback and coaching to Pfizer’s Southeast Asia leadership team, helping them consolidate the acquisition of Warner-Lambert and drive sales growth. At PacifiCare (a $4B company later acquired by UnitedHealth group), he provided coaching to executives that leveraged 360 and personality assessment feedback. He also partnered with the University of California, SanDiego (UCSD) Extension program to design and deliver multiple experiential management training courses for corporate clients, including multi-day offsite retreats.

After getting married, Frank decided to travel less and joined Callaway Golf, where he broadened and delivered the Foundations of Leadership curriculum and introduced executive coaching. He soon moved to Sony Electronics to drive high potential leadership assessment and development programs in addition to management training. Frank then took an HR leadership role at Illumina, where he established integrated programs including leadership trainings, talent reviews, high potential development and coaching offerings. He also drove the employee engagement survey for the global operations group. During his tenure, Illumina grew from 1,400 to over 9,000 employees, and Frank demonstrated that employee engagement was significantly higher among teams led by managers who completed leadership training programs.

He then returned to consulting, supporting clients such as BMW, Raytheon, Marsh McLennan and others with coaching and training services. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University and a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Alliant International University.
