Carol creates, develops and executes social media marketing programs for large and small firms covering a host of industries including fashion, design, recreation, food distribution, health products, holistic services, and web branding firms. Carol is a passionate social media user and coach. She jumped into social media when it was first taking off in 2006, with Twitter as her #1 “revolutionary” marketing tool for her clients, as well as integrating programs such as Facebook, LinkedIn and other social media. Her first social media client, the Atrium Mall in downtown Chicago, help to save the businesses of many of its tenants, and increased the management company’s revenues, by adopting Carol’s social media marketing advice.
Merging journalism, marketing and business backgrounds to build her social media expertise, Carol synergistic blend of skills enables her to be a top social marketer. As a former editor of Chicago Magazine, she has strong journalism skills. As a national bank marketing executive she developed expertise on marketing strategies and cross-selling marketing techniques. As a commercial real estate broker for 15 years, Carol specialized in retail operations both national and local, honing her skills as a negotiator and deal-maker. In 2000, she became partner-owner in Lienhart Design, and was Director of Marketing, Business Development, and Web Development. As an early adopter in web development, she naturally incorporated social media in her clients’ websites, and in 2007 began her rise in social media--first in Chicago, and most recently in Tucson, Arizona.
