SUSAN
SPALE, MBA
Susan Spale is highly experienced and skilled at designing, developing,
and delivering training and consulting services for the workplace.
Her areas of expertise include business strategy development and
implementation, management skills, coaching, leadership, customer/supplier
relations, team development, 360-degree feedback, process management,
problem solving, performance consulting, and training evaluation.
She also has extensive experience designing and facilitating key
business meetings and other corporate events.
Prior to joining Wolf Management Consultants, Inc., Susan spent
15 years in the corporate sector working in business strategy, sales
and training functions. She was a Senior Strategy Consultant with
Lucent Technologies, where she coached executives and product managers
in developing and implementing product and business strategies aimed
at achieving key business goals. She was a Client Interface Manager
for the Lucent Corporate Learning Center, the Switching Unit
the largest business unit in Lucent Technologies to ensure
that critical employee learning needs were successfully met. When
the Lucent Learning Center was formed, she assumed the role of Training
Evaluation Manager where she developed and implemented the strategy
for determining training effectiveness, including tracking student
reactions, student learning, the ability to apply learning to the
work environment, and the impact of learning on business results.
Prior to her role at Lucent, Susan was a Senior Training Consultant
in AT&Ts School of Business. She worked with both internal
and external customers to assess business problems, and then develop
and/or deliver relevant training to solve those problems. Several
courses she developed are still in use by AT&T and Lucent Technologies
today and include: Coaching Skills for Working with Others, Facilitation
Workshop, Total Quality Management Overview, and Building Supplier
Alliances. As "master facilitator" for these programs,
Susan certified and coached new instructors in these programs.
While in the School of Business, Susan developed expertise in Total
Quality Management, developing and teaching courses in Process Management
and Improvement, Quality Leadership, Quality Improvement Cycle and
Supplier Management. This expertise led to the position of Sales
Quality Manager, where she supported National Sales Account Teams
in their effort to better understand and exceed customer requirements.
Susan holds a B.S. in Education and a Master of Business Administration
both from Northern Illinois University. She is a part-time faculty
member at University of Phoenix Online, where she teaches undergraduate
and graduate courses in Management, Leadership and Organizational
Development. She is also a member of American Society for Training
and Development (ASTD), has written several publications and has
consulted and trained all over the continental U.S. and Europe.
