Pamela's mission is to develop and deliver high quality programs
and services for professional, managerial and organizational development.
She has gained the expertise for her mission with over twenty years
of marketing, training and consulting in the corporate world.
As an independent consultant, Pam has developed several strategic
programs that have resulted in the timely assessment, development
and delivery of customized programs for new and existing customers.
She presently delivers diversity, anti-harassment, team building,
leadership and management training along with coaching and organizational
consulting services to corporations and organizations across the
U.S. She has worked with such notable clients as Ford Motor Company,
Seyfarth Shaw at Work (specializing in labor and employment law),
AT&T, Lucent Technologies, Bell Laboratories, Motorola and U.S.
Department of Energy. Her clientele also includes educational institutions
such as the Chicago Historical Society and the Du Sable Museum of
African American History. Her efforts have resulted in direct and
immediate value for the organizations and individuals she has worked
with.
As a consultant in the IBM Corporation during a ten and a half-year
period, Pam consulted to small, medium and large corporations. Her
responsibilities included working with a diverse customer and vendor
universe. Through assessment of customer needs, she developed and
implemented complex business and training solutions. She developed
and administered marketing programs for the IBM Business Partner
program and worked with new business marketing representatives.
While serving as a member of the IBM Customer First Response Center
team, Pam developed and marketed the services of the center throughout
the Midwest. She interacted directly with a wide range of individual
and corporate customers who purchased IBM products and services,
to resolve questions, provide solutions and consultation.
As a nationwide buyer at Western Electric (AT&T), Pam purchased
a variety of materials and services for use in the manufacturing
plants throughout the U.S. In addition to the management of a $10
million portfolio for the production of metal parts, she consulted
with the user locations on vendor and product selection. She insured
that the quality of materials and the timeliness of the delivery
met production needs. During her tenure she interacted with both
management and union employees and officials.
While serving as a Chicago Public School teacher, she taught mathematics
to inner city high school students. Her mission was to encourage
students experiencing difficulty with mathematics to overcome the
intimidation and fear of the subject and embrace it as a window
of opportunity. She accomplished this through a back to basics,
building block approach that was well received by students and faculty
alike.
Pam holds certifications for At Issue Confronting Sexual Harassment,
Equal Employment/Affirmative Action Supervisory Training, Diversity
in the Workplace and Leading a Diverse Workforce from Lucent Technologies,
Workplace Diversity from Motorola and At Issue Confronting Sexual
Harassment from Seyfarth Shaw at Work. Pam has coached new instructors
as well as provided one-on-one coaching to customers in the in the
areas of diversity and anti-harassment. She has spoken and presented
at the Chicago Minority Business Development Council's opportunity
fair on building business through building relationships and was
a panelist at Northwestern University, Kellogg School of business.
Pam is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Chicago Campus,
where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics
Education, conferred with honors.
