| PATRICIA
LUCHS, MBA
Patricia consults with and directly assists professional-services
clients who seek to grow their firms through innovative
business development and marketing strategies, improved
implementation, and enhanced public and business community
relations. As a veteran marketing director, she employs
a no-nonsense, results-oriented approach to her work.
Twenty years of hands-on experience in marketing professional
services - primarily for law and public accounting
firms - have enabled her to master “best practices”
that she can adapt and apply successfully to her clients’
business development and marketing endeavors.
Patricia has provided sought after consulting services
for Ropes & Gray LLP (one
of the largest law firms in the United States)
where she successfully coordinated and assisted in
executing a Merger Strategy Communications Plan
on marketing transition and integration activities
for the now-official Ropes & Gray and Fish &
Neave law firms merger. She also provided “road
map” for reorganizing the existing Ropes &
Gray Marketing Department; assessed all practice-group
marketing plans; and prioritized a range of marketing
projects scheduled to take place during the First
through the Fourth Quarters of 2005.
As the National Director of Marketing Seyfarth
Shaw LLP (50th largest law firm in the
United States), Patricia managed all Marketing,
PR, Advertising/Branding, Business-Development Training
and related budgets for the firm’s nine offices
in the United States and one in Europe. She provided
consulting services for the firm’s international
alliance organization, ius laboris.
She also supervised the efforts of a seven-person
team providing centralized marketing support: managing
more than 30 seminars, national newsletters, national
marketing database, proposal development, presentation
materials, and support to 625 attorneys across the
country and overseas. She provided leadership in assessing
client satisfaction, building business development
capabilities across the firm, selecting and managing
a PR firm, and producing a successful branding program
for Seyfarth Shaw.
Prior to her work at Seyfarth Shaw, Patricia was the
Director of Marketing – Office of National Marketing
for RSM McGladrey (America’s
7th largest CPA and Business-Consultancy). There,
she managed marketing, PR and advertising strategies
for the firm’s 72 internal offices, and provided
consulting to 85 firms that were network members.
After its reorganization in February 1997, the firm
restructured a 50-year-old corporate culture of decentralization
into a centralized operation with a nationally cohesive
marketing program to capture cost efficiencies and
ensure quality consistencies.
Patricia served as President, National Association
of Accounting Marketers, in ’96 & ’97
(’95 Annual Conference Chair), was honored with
the 1996 Marketer of the Year, Awarded by CPA
Marketing Report, and was cited as one of the
100 Most Influential People in the Profession, Accounting
Today.
Patricia holds an MBA, Marketing, Graduate School of
Management/University of Wisconsin, and a BA, Business
Administration, Mount Mary College.
