GOLDMAN and MEMO MENDEZ
Kit Goldman and Memo Mendez are nationally acclaimed trainers,
facilitators and experts on legal and human issues in the workplace.
Their unique “edutainment” methodology harnesses the
power of entertainment to enlighten and educate on dozens of workplace
topics, and achieves unsurpassed levels of engagement and retention.
Over the past 15 years, their entertainment-based courses have
engaged 800,000+ executives, managers, and employees in a vast
array of industries. They have appeared frequently as workplace
experts in the national media.
Goldman is an innovative educator and multi-faceted entertainment
industry professional. She has received dozens of awards for professional
accomplishment and community service.
Goldman is a cum laude graduate of San Diego State University
with a major in Education and minors in Psychology and Linguistics,
a prolific and accomplished theatre producer, writer, director,
actress, journalist, essayist and speechwriter, and a certified
consumer arbitrator.
Prior to entering the training arena, Goldman built and operated
2 professional theatres in downtown San Diego, producing over 100
plays and musicals. In 1990, she produced “The American Dance
Awards” for ABC television, starring Sammy Davis Jr. (in
his last public appearance), Patrick Swayze, Liza Minelli, American
Idol’s Paula Abdul, and others.
In 1992, Goldman developed the “prime time” style
edutainment used by she and Mendez when asked by the U.S. Navy
to develop Sexual Harassment training for San Diego based commands
after the Tailhook scandal.
Goldman is a committed, passionate child advocate. Under a grant
from the U.S. Justice Dept. Office of Victims of Crime, she designed
and delivered an interactive, anti-youth violence curriculum used
by hundreds of school districts across the U.S.
Memo Mendez has been a driving force in the duo’s growth,
development and success since 1995.
His unique blend of gifts and experience, and fluency in English
and his native Spanish, are ideally suited to the "edutainment" medium.
As a professional actor, Mendez has worked extensively in TV,
stage, and film in his native Colombia, Mexico City, New York,
Los Angeles, and San Diego.
Mendez is a nationally known, highly respected trainer and educator
on employment practices topics. His powerful, riveting, interactive
style fuses his talents and training as an actor and teacher.
Mendez is tireless and dedicated in service to the community,
donating substantial time and resources to at-risk youth, and programs
fostering safety, justice, and quality of life.
